I am sure many of you have a similar story – once you hit your early 50’s, it is so much harder to loss belly fat. I have never been good at dieting for any period of time as I just love food. Moderation isn’t always easy either. So, I opted to become an exercise buff with swimming laps and taking Zumba classes as my 2 favorite options. I exercised every day for years and was somewhat happy with the results – solid legs and arms but no reduction in the midsection.
I was complaining to a close friend and she said – “You have to try Pilates”! I was skeptical as I equating pilates to yoga. After a few more nudges, I decided to try a semi private lesson at Centered. All I can say is “HOOKED – Sign me up!” I immediately felt my core muscles working or, rather, crying. So, I made a commitment and have never looked back. Pilates equipment classes became a regular part of my workout routine.
The benefits of Pilates are undisputable. However, I never thought I would get so much more out of a class. I have made friends for life at Centered. The owner, Gina, creates an atmosphere that is not only fun but very caring. We laugh, complain, and support each other through all kinds of situations. Making true friends later in life is not easy and I am so blessed to have found Centered.
Although I have always tried a workout here and there, I have never been a fan of the gym scene - the confusing machines, the people who think it's a dating hub, waiting for equipment or floor space to be available, etc. Centered Studio offers a quiet, personal environment with fun, well trained instructors and a great group of clients. Gina has created a space that is both motivating and grounding while also maintaining its smaller size to promote an intimate/personal setting. Here, you are not one of forty people in a class, hoping to catch a glimpse of the instructor or not fall behind in the routine. You are in a small class of fellow patrons who are sweating and laughing their way through another morning workout. And don't be fooled, the instructor can see each and every one, so you always get some one-on-one feedback and there is no way to drop behind or go unnoticed. Now, I love my workout routine and it's truly all thanks to the Pilates workout offered at the Centered Studio. My 9:30 am class is both a time just for me in the day and also a moment spent with fun ladies who all push each other to keep going and get toned!
Not only great for my health, pains, and balance - it is fun! My posture is better, my breathing issues due to Asthma are better and my mental state is happier. Love the private sessions and the classes with Robin. I have made great new friends. Definitely the best exercise and Pilates you will find!
Love Gina's classes! Nothing gets my abs the way Centered does. The workouts are never boring, always fun and super creative. They stay on top of the newest routines and classes are challenging yet can still be "fine tuned" for various levels. I highly recommend this studio!

Absolutely love Centered! Classes are easy to schedule, the equipment is in great condition and well-maintained, and the studio is clean and welcoming. Gina is an outstanding instructor. She pays attention to each person in the class- ensuring correct form, offering modifications as appropriate, and encouraging everyone to do their best. I can see a definite improvement in my strength and posture since I started taking classes. I whole-heartedly recommend this studio!
Fabiana is a fabulous and disciplined instructor. She makes sure you are doing the movements correctly to get the most benefit and to not injure yourself.
Love this studio! It's beautiful, peaceful and clean. The classes are small and personal. Gina delivers a great workout! She pays attention to each client, makes the class entertaining and I can see differences in my body and strength.
This is a fabulous place to work out. You have a collection of various fitness classes and Gina and the staff are wonderful to work with. Very clean environment and very professional. But there are a lot of laughs and fun as well!
Just finished my first class with Kim, and it was a great class! Kim is an outstanding instructor. The class was challenging and well-paced, she provided accommodations for different levels, and I know I'm going to feel the workout in all the right places tomorrow! Thank you, Kim!
By far the best Pilates class I've ever been in. Robin does a great job. I'm still new at Pilates and she gently coaches me in the proper form and movement. I love her classes, and you will too!
Best place I've found to do Pilates. The studio is immaculate, and the atmosphere is beautiful. Instructors are professional, knowledgeable and kind. Everyone I've met is very welcoming. I have a bad back but have always managed to get a full body workout and strengthen my core without any issues. It's been an indispensable part of my wellness routine.
I have been going to Centered Pilates for over six years for private sessions two times per week. The facility and equipment are excellent. The staff has always been friendly and supportive, and the workouts are tailored to each client. I am working now with Gina and Kim and recommend them both highly.
I usually would not give a 5-star rating. But I have to say, I just adore Centered. The studio is SUPER clean and nice. The workouts are challenging and well planned. The instructions feel personalized and tailored to each individual. We all have some sort of physical issue, which makes it difficult for the instructor to make everyone happy. But happy we are! The clients are fun, engaging, and friendly. It is like working out with your BFFs.

Friendly and professional! There is something for everyone here. After jumping around from gym to gym, this was the first fitness studio I have stayed with for years. The variety of classes is more than enough to keep me interested. The environment is extremely clean and welcoming. All classes are taught by friendly professionals who ensure your safety while helping you reach your fitness goals.
I'm addicted! The teachers are amazing! They take time to explain the reason for certain moves and make sure form is correct to avoid injury. I started with private sessions and now join group classes 2 or 3 times every week. Pilates will work muscles you didn't know you had! The studio is spotless and beautiful. Everyone is always happy when you walk through the door. I highly recommend giving them a try!
I stopped working out during the pandemic and I was able to jump right back into it thanks to the knowledgeable instructors and warm atmosphere at Centered. The variety of workouts is amazing and being able to take Pilates reformer, TRX and tower classes ensured that I saw results quickly! Each class makes me aware of my muscles in different ways! I'm stronger, toned and I feel more balanced both mentally and physically.
The Pilates classes are amazing! To be blunt, if your rear us sagging and your stomach is drooping, this is the place for you! You get a workout, especially the level 2 classes! My arms look better and that's hard to do at 62! I like the varied way the instructors use props, keeps the classes from being boring. Rings, bands, balls, weighted bars, and hand weights are used in different ways. Every class is different! Love Centered! Thank you for my new body!
